Privacy notice
Version 2026-10-25-d7db377b721c
Who handles your data
Fern, teaching as ThaiWith.Me Thailand. Full provider and billing details are included in your written quote before payment. Contact: help@thaiwith.me This notice describes data used to provide lessons through ThaiWith.Me. Thai personal data protection requirements apply as relevant. Other privacy laws, including the GDPR when its territorial conditions are met, may also apply.
Data and purposes
We use account and contact details to authenticate you and communicate; lesson dates, attendance, package balances and payment references to manage your lessons; goals, notes, private messages, materials and optional homework progress to support learning; acceptance records to evidence the agreed terms; and technical logs to protect and troubleshoot the service. Do not send unnecessary identity documents, full bank statements or sensitive information in notes or messages.
Legal grounds
Where a legal basis is required, account, booking and lesson administration are necessary to take steps at your request and perform the service agreement. Billing and accounting records may be retained to meet legal obligations. Proportionate security and service logs support the legitimate interests of preventing abuse and maintaining the service, subject to applicable law and your rights. Marketing and any recordings require the separate permissions applicable to that purpose. Merely reading this notice is not consent to marketing.
Recipients and service providers
Access is limited to Fern and authorised technical support as needed. The service uses hosting and PostgreSQL database infrastructure, AWS Cognito for sign-in, transactional email services, and Google / Microsoft calendar and meeting services. Wise or your bank processes transfers under its own terms and privacy notice. Embedded videos connect to YouTube when the page loads, sharing connection data such as your IP address and browser details. Playing a video may involve additional processing under YouTube's privacy policy. Other students can access materials for shared lessons; they cannot browse your private account or payment references. Data is not sold.
International processing
Fern accesses the service from Thailand. Infrastructure, email, authentication and meeting providers may process data in other countries. Contact the privacy address for the specific processing locations and applicable transfer safeguards. A provider’s presence alone does not establish that all required international transfer arrangements have been completed.
Retention
Data is used for the duration needed to manage the account and lessons, resolve disputes and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Contact the privacy address for the retention periods applicable to your account and transaction records, or to request deletion. Backup copies and legally required records may remain for the applicable retention period.
Your choices and rights
Write to help@thaiwith.me to request access, correction, deletion or other rights available under applicable law, or to ask about processing, transfers and retention. We may need proportionate information to verify that a request concerns your account. Depending on applicable law, you may also request restriction or portability, object to processing, withdraw optional consent, or complain to the competent data protection authority. Withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing.
Minors, images and recordings
Parents or legal guardians should contact Fern before enrolling a minor and manage the learner’s account where accepted. We do not treat contract acceptance as permission for a recording, a public image or a testimonial. Any such use must be explained separately, with the authorisations required by applicable law. Contact the privacy address with a concern about a child’s data.
